Roles and Responsibilities
- Employee Onboarding - Plans and monitors implementation of the location specific Induction and buddy program as defined, including graduate hiring
- Employee Engagement - Plan and institutionalize a robust communication model across the Geo. Designing communication keeping local sensibilities in mind is a key focus area. Design and Deploy engagement processes, initiatives, and events across the Geo. Analyze feedback from the ground (employee pulse) to identify focus areas and design and implement initiatives around them
- Employee Development - Designs and drives employee development initiatives such as high-performer development, promotions/progressions etc. to align with business outcomes. Monitors the effectiveness and brings improvements to the process. Understand business requirements and partner with corporate training to create and customize training programs
- Rewards and Recognition - Manage the rollout of R&R initiatives across the Geo
- Audits and Compliance - Participate in Geo level audits and play a key role in taking corrective action wherever required
- Employee Grievance Handling and Disciplinary processes - Manage the grievance handling frameworks of the company in the Geo. Grievance related cases to be closed as per defined SLAs. Initiate and manage disciplinary processes and investigations wherever required and ensure that the processes are carried out in line with company and legislative guidelines.
- Government Relations - Be the point of contact and representative of the company in transactions and communications with Government Bodies, departments, and representatives in HR related matters as required. Ensure that all mandatory government reporting is completed within the stipulated timelines
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of HR generalist experience
- Exposure to work in fast paced, multinational corporations with complex matrix style management structures
- Familiarity with managing HR programs and processes for employees in Japan
- Both Japanese and English language proficiency (written and spoken) is a must
- HR domain knowledge and experience across the complete employee lifecycle
- Self-starter with strong analytical skills and result oriented mindset, be able to handle complex issues independently and possess an ability to get things done.
- Able to navigate ambiguity and adapt to evolving situations
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills
