How you will make an impact:

As our HR Generalist in Portugal at Iterable, you will be the first HR hire in the country to build all things HR in our first office in Lisbon.

How you will make a difference:

  • Own New Hire Onboarding and offboarding in Portugal including in-office coordination of all new hire paperwork and activities and offboarding processes. This includes leading any Portugal-specific onboarding New Hire Orientation.
  • Partner closely with outside partners in Portugal such as outside employment counsel to ensure we are compliant. This would include creating our Portugal handbook to be as in line as possible with our US and UK handbooks.
  • Bring on and maintain Portuguese benefits that align with our US and UK approaches and offerings.
  • Act as our main point of contact for employee concerns or questions.
  • Work directly with Portugueses outside counsel to set up compliant Portuguese employee relations and with the Head of ER to ensure alignment globally.
  • Work directly with Portuguese outside counsel and Head of ER to create compliant and aligned performance management
  • Own employee relations case management
  • Work with our internal People Operations Team as well as outside immigration attorneys to create our internal and external mobility programs to work in Portugal
  • Enrich the engagement of employees, promote culture, and help create a positive work experience
  • Serve as liaison between the Portugal office and the DEI team to drive initiatives and provide insight and support

We are looking for people who:

  • Have 8+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role
  • Experience creating and developing HR processes from the ground up such as employee handbook, onboarding, offboarding, performance, and employee relations
  • Worked for 2+ years for an international company with offices in the US
  • Experience aligning foreign policies to Portuguese policies
  • Broad experience partnering with outside stakeholders such as outside employment counsel and immigration attorneys
  • Must be fluent in written and verbal English
