Assistant Planning Manager

As an Assistant Planning Manager at Jabil Osijek, you will lead the local Planning Department, driving continuous improvement in materials planning and supply chain performance. You will play a key role in aligning planning strategies with business goals, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering exceptional support to customers, team members, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop the Planning Department at the Osijek site.

• Mentor and develop team members through regular performance feedback, and career development planning to build a resilient and capable planning organization.

• Design and implement innovative planning strategies to optimize supply chain performance.

• Oversee capacity planning and production scheduling to meet customer demand.

• Ensure accuracy and integrity of master scheduling and material liability coverage.

• Monitor and report on key departmental performance metrics.

• Establish and maintain robust planning processes, procedures, and documentation.

• Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation.

• Analyze plant revenue trends and provide strategic updates to leadership.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

• 6+ years of experience in materials planning or supply chain management, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.

• Proven leadership experience in managing cross-functional planning or supply chain teams, with a demonstrated ability to motivate, mentor, and develop team members in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

• Strong analytical and financial acumen with experience in business analytics and forecasting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) .

• Knowledge of SAP ERP systems is required.

• APICS/NAPM certification is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of global and regional logistics and supply chain operations.

• Strategic thinker with a proven track record in change management and process improvement.

• Fluency in English and Croatian

• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive results.

• Familiarity with international trade regulations, customs, and tax regimes.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
