Position Summary:

• The Environmental Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental protection programs within the organization. Ensures compliance with Croatian regulations and international standards, including ISO standards. Key responsibilities include risk assessment, monitoring and reporting environmental indicators, and educating employees on best environmental practices. Additionally, the specialist manages waste management, registration in the Environmental Pollution Register (ROO), and filling out the accompanying waste list.

Key Responsibilities and End Results:

• Development and implementation of environmental protection programs.

• Monitoring compliance with Croatian environmental regulations.

• Introduction and maintenance of ISO standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).

• Risk assessment and implementation of measures to reduce negative environmental impact.

• Monitoring and reporting environmental indicators.

• Education and training of employees on best environmental practices.

• Collaboration with external partners and regulatory bodies.

• Preparation of reports and documentation related to environmental protection.

• Management of waste, including separate collection, recycling, and final disposal of waste.

• Registration in the Environmental Pollution Register (ROO) and data entry into the ROO database.

• Filling out the accompanying waste list (PL) in accordance with regulations.

Job Specifications : The minimum education and experience required to perform this job competently.

• BSc Degree or equivalent 2+ years of experience in Environmental Specialist role.

• Fully competent in Environmental Standards.

• Ability to work in a agile team environment.

• Excellent organizational, communication, computer and presentation skills.

• Proficient in MS Office application
