Maintenance Technician I

maintenance, and repair of single-phase and three-phase systems up to 480V.

• Install, test, and maintain control wiring for equipment, relays, motors, and automated systems.

• Read and interpret schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and electrical blueprints.

• Calculate load requirements and develop plans, material lists for electrical projects.

• Install and maintain electrical panels, branch circuits, lighting systems, and conduit runs (IMC EMT Ridged PBC.).

• Use electrical test equipment to identify faults, verify voltage, continuity, and safety compliance.

• Perform light plumbing, painting, and carpentry work as needed.

• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections; maintain detailed records.

• Support the installation and relocation of facility equipment, including HVAC, air compressors, vacuum systems, and DI water systems.

• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Minimum 3 - 6 years of experience in facilities or industrial electrical maintenance.

• Proficiency in:

  • Single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
  • Control wiring: relays, sensors, switches, and low-voltage circuits
  • EMT conduit bending, wire pulling, and termination techniques
  • Use of multimeters, voltage testers, and circuit tracers

• Strong working knowledge of electrical tools, materials, codes, and best practices.

• Ability to work safely on live circuits up to 480 volts .

• Experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.

Licensing (Required)

• Journeyman Electrician Certificate - Pinellas, Hillsborough County.

• State of Florida Registered or Certified Electrical Contractor License is a plus.

OSHA 10/30 and/or NFPA 70E training preferred.
