What will you do?
Supervise the materials team within the workcell, ensuring alignment with production and departmental goals.
Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations; develop training plans for team members.
Oversee day-to-day materials activities including planning, scheduling, and inventory control.
Develop and execute strategic materials initiatives specific to the workcell.
Monitor and improve performance metrics and processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Investigate and resolve line-down situations and ensure accuracy of critical data in business systems.
Act as the main customer interface for all materials-related issues.
Coordinate quoting and demand management processes with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and security policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
How will you get here?
Education:
Bachelor's degree required.
MBA preferred but not required.
Experience:
2-3 years of related experience in materials management, supply chain, or production planning.
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to analyze and improve materials processes and performance metrics.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP or similar).
Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
APICS certification preferred but not required.
