    Johnson & Johnson is recruiting an ERLR Manager in India (Employee & Labor Relations)

    A developing subject matter expert, who works independently with minimal direction. Serves as a trusted advisor to field managers and team partners to provide direction on a wide range of employee relations/labor relations issues. Participates in proactive employee relations/labor relations initiatives that contribute to overall strategy of department. They are responsible for the effective management of Employee Relations matters (grievances, subject area, conflict resolution) measured by resolution of service requests within defined time periods, levels of accuracy and quality standards. They will provide Labor Relations support and manage risks. They will drive proactive initiatives to increase ER/LR awareness with employees, ER/LR capability with Managers and will support any ad hoc workforce events (M&A, Divestitures, restructuring etc.) requiring ER or LR involvement.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Provides day-to-day support, advice and counsel to business leaders and people managers on all labor and employee relations' matters including HR policies/agreement interpretation, grievance resolution, subject area management and other related labor and employment matters.

    • Conducts investigations for ER/LR workplace relations issues, and Hotline complaints, including providing investigation summary reports and managing the grievance process. Provides direction to relevant team members on disciplinary matters on non-ER related investigations.

    • Mentor, Partner with managers on managing performance related issues and providing solutions such as implementing performance management processes. Act as the primary support person for people managers providing direct intervention and "hands on support" in resolving employee performance related issues.

    • Maintain compliance with labor regulations and manage risks. Review and revise HR local country policies aligned with the labor regulations, as needed.

    • Deliver employee relations training on appropriate workplace behaviors and performance management programs.

    • Provide insights with respect to industry trends about Employee Relations and opportunities. Build an external professional network to maintain an appropriate view of the workplace and marketplace.

    • Supports the design, development, and implementation of proactive Employee Relations practices and programs and policies for market or region.

    • Works collaboratively with ER/LR cluster and regional leaders to implement regional or global policies or guidelines in country.

    • Interprets company policies and processes to ensure consistent application and alignment with company priorities.

    • Addresses employee grievances and intensifies critical or sophisticated issues to management.

    • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements and regulations in order to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.

    • Provides mentorship, risk assessment, and expertise to management to ensure fairness and compliance.

    • Coaches and trains junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities.

    • Integrates Johnson & Johnson's Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • 8-10 years HR experience with a minimum of 5 years in Employee and Labor Relations

    • Knowledge and understanding of applicable Employment and Labor Relations Laws

    • Proven success in establishing relationship and collaborating with a virtual team

    • Hardworking teammate with a strong drive to build a positive work environment

    • Relationship management, mentor and teamwork skills.

    • Diligent (especially with effectively managing employee relations issues & investigations)

    • Analytical and strategic problem solver

    • Influence, negotiation, and facilitating skills

    • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum BA/BS Degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or Law Degree.

    • Preferred area of study: Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law.
