    Job Description:

    Overview:

    Work closely with one of the Business Unit in Japan Innovative Medicine as a finance controller and manages the daily activities of the financial planning and analysis, forecasting, actual reporting, budgeting and OPEX management for the BU. Review and analyze BUs' operating results and prepare short- and long-range forecasts including sales, operating expense and support headcount planning. Directly report to Senior finance manager and responsible for companywide sales planning process including BP/JU/LRFP and prepare management review decks for Japan commercial Leadership Team and APAC Leadership Team regional reviews.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Works closely with business unit leaders (VP, Snr director and directors) and manages the financial and reporting for the business unit.

    • Deeply understands the business and identifies trends by comparing actual results to target.

    • Drives/leads the business plan process for the Business Unit, prepares presentations for the business reviews and forecast updates for commercial LT reviews.

    • Identifies risks/opportunities for the target achievement and shares with the management in a timely and transparent manner.

    • Supports investment decisions and resource prioritizations within BU and escalates to the leadership team as needed.

    • Ensures timely reporting of financials and continuously "set the tone" for a strong compliance environment for both Finance team & Business units and develops, evaluates & implements internal controls, financial policies and procedures as needed.

    • Sales FP&A responsibilities (Cross BU): Work closely with BU controllers for companywide sales planning and consolidation and APAC regional finance team for submission requirements.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or higher

    • More than 7 years of accumulated experience working in finance or accounting role

    • Strong analytic capabilities

    • Strong communication and presentation skills

    • Business partnering experience & Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred

    • Strategic thinking and innovative thinking

    • Strong English and Japanese skill in both writing and speaking
