    This person will be responsible for working with the Therapeutic Area Head (TAH) New Products, and the Value & Evidence (V&E), Real Work Analytics, and Value Access and Pricing teams to identify and address evidence needs to support the solid tumor pipeline assets and evidence generation activities.

    • The Group Medical Director (GMD), New Products will have medical oversight of multiple projects and/or products for solid tumor pipeline assets, reporting to the Head, New Products in Solid Tumor Medical Affairs.

    • The GMD New Products will develop the medical strategy for assigned projects / products with a goal to address medical and scientific issues. The medical strategy will be aligned with Medical Affairs (MA) leadership and the Integrated Strategy and Scientific Strategy teams.

    • The GMD New Products will have higher degree of autonomy in working with MA leadership to devise strategies addressing crucial gaps via critical relationships across Medical Affairs, Global Medical Affairs, R&D, V&E, Commercial and others. He/she will lead and effectively partner with Alliance partner (if applicable) on those activities.

    • Contribute to the Integrated Evidence Generation Plan and the strategic publication plan for pipeline products.

    • Develops and aligns Advisory Board strategy, executes Advisory Boards and maintains relationships with external investigators, opinion leaders and patient advocacy groups.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • MD (or equivalent), PharmD, PhD required. Strongly preferred MD (Medical Oncologist preferred).

    • Board certification in Oncology or related field is preferred.

    • Solid Tumor experience is required. Knowledge of lung, colorectal, head and neck cancers is preferred.

    • A minimum of five years of experience in a strategy-setting role with at least two years in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent experience is preferred.

    • Experience in developing or launching a new pharmaceutical/biologic product is preferred.

    • Experience in pharmaceutical trial design and conduct (Phases II-IV) within the pharmaceutical industry, CRO or academia is preferred.

    • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills are required.

    • Strong organizational skills are a must.

    • A demonstrated ability to work in a matrix type environment with interaction with cross-functional teams is required.

    • This position requires up to 25% annual travel (domestic and international).
