    Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine Supply Chain (J&J IM SC) is recruiting for a manager (or non-manager according to the candidate profile)****, Supply Chain Compliance and Strategy to be located in Tokyo, Japan.

    Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine Supply Chain (J&J IM SC) is the global organization responsible for supplying medicines to markets around the world as a group of Johnson & Johnson.

    Supply Chain Compliance and Strategy is expected to work to be compliant with Japan regulation related to supply. This position works to aim for total supply chain synchronization by leading horizontal system/work process operation and improvement with TA SC leaders to manage inventory and demand as an organization. It also supports strategic initiatives to secure stable supply in a long run.

    The position reports to the Director, Supply Chain Essential Brand Planning.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    Inventory Management

    • Understand the global supply chain inventory management methodology

    • Understand local inventory requirement to guarantee stable supply

    • Set the optimal target inventory consulting with Japan TA SC leaders, and make alignment with regional/global key stakeholders

    • Monitor the inventory together with finance to achieve financial commitment

    Demand Planning Excellence

    • Work with TA SC leaders to harmonize the demand planning activities

    • Work with regional IBP lead and local finance to confirm the local/regional demand planning review schedule and harmonize the demand information to be escalated to region and global

    • Aggregate the demand cross functionally

    • Support SC TA leader when cross functional alignment is required

    Government/Industry Association Communication

    • Work with cross functional stakeholders such as quality, global SC to understand the status on the supply risk comprehensively

    • Report supply incident to MHLW as required in the regulation

    • Work with industry association to respond to industry association request and realize the industry wide needs

    Long Range Capacity Planning

    • Lead the long-range capacity planning project

    • Develop the long-term demand in the next 10 years with best available information in alignment with TA SC leader and supply chain development leader

    • Update production parameters in cooperation with site planning

    • Work with Fuji site project members to support making proposal of investment to Fuji GM

    • Work with global SC team to provide data from Japan to enhance global SC assessment quality

    Ad-hoc Strategic Actions to Realize Stable Supply

    • Master data management support

    • Negotiate with global SC to support site planning per needs such as Short-Term Exceptional Management (STEM)

    • Support Issue Management Team (IMT)

    • Support strategic initiatives

    • Any other important initiatives for stable supply

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 5 years' experience working in supply chain or proven knowledge for End to End supply chain

    • A minimum of 3 years' experience in inventory management or proven knowledge for inventory management

    • Capability to detect early potential issues in End-to-End supply chain holistic view, and the proactive problem solving to mitigate product stock out

    • Cross functional work experience to achieve company optimal result

    • Business level Japanese and English

    • Basic understanding on financials

    • Night calls between US and Europe anticipated to this role (Once a week/ 1 hour)

    Preferable

    • Project management skill

    • Demand planning experience

    • Experience with supply chain planning system such as SAP, OMP

    • Willingness to connect regional/global supply chain colleagues
