    Position summary

    the Analytical Chemistry and High Throughput Purification team and learn to support the high throughput activities in small molecule drug purification toward the clinic. An exciting position in a highly matrixed environment with many learning opportunities in analytical and medicinal chemistry.

    During the 12 months period at the J&J Innovative Medicine R&D center, the candidate will receive both practical and theoretical training on the application of analytical chemistry to medicinal chemistry, with a focus on the purification, mainly by Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC), of compounds from chemical libraries or singleton samples, the analysis and the interpretation of experimental data and the communication of scientific results.

    We offer:

    • 1 year internship.

    • 35 hours per week.

    • 1000 euros per month

    • Start date - January

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of Bachelor's or Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field obtained in the last four years.

    • No previous working experience in a position related to the academic degree after the degree was obtained.

    • Not having been the recipient of similar internship grants in the past

    • Highly motivated and engaged team worker with a passion for hands-on science and desire for continuous learning.

    • Practical experience in analytical and purification techniques, such as mass-directed reverse phase HPLC or SFC systems.

    • Having knowledge of chromatography software (Chemstation, OpenLab, MassLynx, Pic Solutions...) is seen as a plus.
