    Job Description:

    Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Production Planner based out of San Angelo, TX.

    Under the direction of the Production, Planning and Logistics Senior Manager, directs his/her efforts towards the effective management of Production and Planning initiatives and/or projects. Responsible for the weekly and monthly planning for San Angelo starts portfolio for finished goods and raw materials.

    Review shortage reports to ensure materials arrive in a timely manner to meet production requirement.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Drive customer service metrics for San Angelo starts portfolio (finished goods and raw materials).

    • Act as the business unit manager's customer service champion and recommend actions to achieve service and inventory objectives.

    • Provides guidance on any activity that affects capacity required to achieve the short-term production volume, which would include making recommendation to the business unit manager or designee on the need to run overtime to achieve the production requirements.

    • Develops labor, productivity, and utilization models to guarantee business unit capabilities (operational capacities) are available to achieve production rates.

    • Provide weekly and daily direction to the manufacturing business unit manager and leadership team to ensure required production levels are achieved.

    • Ensure optimum mix of codes and quantities are scheduled within available capacity daily.

    • Coordinate and collaborate with supply chain partners to ensure raw materials are available to achieve the production plan.

    • Work with Supply Planner to identify proper allocation of scarce raw materials and provide supply plans for San Angelo starts portfolio (finished goods and raw materials).

    • Identify root causes to issues and recommend corrective actions affecting ability to run the short-term production plan.

    • Optimize system planning parameters to drive accurate production signals (order minimums, multiples, maximums).

    • Ensure the Process Excellence team updates planning parameters to reflect demonstrated manufacturing capability (lead time, yield, scrap rates, usage rates).

    • Ensure planned events (conversion / transfers) affecting production do not impact customer service or inventory goals.

    • Responsible for creating COs necessary to support planned events / base business.

    • Responsible for BOM accuracy.

    • Responsible for managing / mapping capacity within the Advanced Planning System.

    • Ensure JNJ affiliate product requirements are satisfied.

    • Lead San Angelo starts portfolio GOALS process including raw materials.

    • Provide information as necessary to track / trend customer service, inventory, and performance metrics.

    • Correct work orders as required.

    • Follow current compliance regulations and standards.

    • Comply with all federal regulated programs.

    • Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisor and/or Designee.

    • Follow current Compliance Regulations and Standards.

    • Ensure safe working conditions and practice in the Department.

    • Attend/Complete assigned Trainings as instructed by Supervisor or designee or through Compliance Wire.

    • Most work is performed at a computer workstation. Limited walking and standing.

    • Comply with all applicable quality management system, environmental, safety and occupational health policies. (for example, ISO 13485, ISO14001 & OSHAS18001)

    • Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson's Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.

    Qualifications:

    • Certified in production and inventory management (CPIM) or certified in supply chain planning (CSCP) is desirable.

    • It is also preferable that the candidate has 2-5 years' experience in manufacturing. Process Excellence/Six Sigma Certification, Training, and/or use of tools are preferred.

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Access is required.

    • The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills to convey concise and effective information regarding work requirement and ideas. Excellent interpersonal relationship skills are required.
