Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented AI Engineer to join our platform engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in AI software engineering and applied data science principles. In this role, you will shape building scalable data & compute pipelines to tackle high impact challenges enabling cutting-edge technology across J&J Innovative Medicine R&D.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, analysts, architects, and other partners to understand platform requirements and develop high-quality software solutions using AI/ ML and GenAI technologies
Optimize software architecture and implementation for usability, performance, scalability, and reliability.
Conducts research internally and/or using external sources to meet Innovative medicine R&D needs in the evolving space of AI
Build integrations with external and internal toolset for Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) platforms.
Develop custom solutions/capabilities to meet complex Innovative medicine R&D need at scale
Work with Development team members on research planning, execution, analysis and lead the development of the solution.
Technical Skillsets:
3+ years of hands-on software development experience in an objected oriented programming language (C++/ Python...)
3+ years of experience with AI frameworks (Pytorch, Tensorflow, LangChain, LlamaIndex...) and DevOps industry best practices.
3+ years of experience in system software engineering, cloud computing platforms (AWS/ Azure) and data science
Proven experience in building complex workflows for large-scale datasets.
Qualifications:
Master's degree/ Ph.D in engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
Familiarity with the Pharmaceutical R&D domain is a plus but not required
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $106,250 to $143,750.
Bonus: - The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
