Key Responsibilities:
Therapy Development and Clinical Expertise:
Promote Impella Therapy Adoption: Lead efforts to drive adoption of Impella devices by demonstrating the therapeutic value of mechanical circulatory support in severe coronary artery disease, heart failure, and cardiogenic shock.
Clinical Education and Support: Provide clinical education and training to healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, perfusionists, and other key staff, on the use of the Impella device in therapeutic settings. This includes device application, patient selection, procedure protocols, and troubleshooting.
Develop Clinical Protocols: Work with hospitals and clinical teams to establish or refine clinical protocols for the use of Impella devices, ensuring that these protocols align with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices for patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Patient Selection Guidance: Assist clinical teams in identifying appropriate patient populations for Impella therapy, helping to refine patient selection criteria based on clinical data, individual patient needs, and outcomes.
Sales & Strategic Partnership:
Drive Sales & Revenue Growth: Collaborate with sales teams to identify sales opportunities and expand Impella adoption in key hospitals and healthcare facilities. Influence key decision-makers, including cardiologists, administrators, and hospital executives, to support the integration and utilization of Impella devices.
Facilitate Product Awareness: Conduct product presentations, clinical case studies, and educational seminars to raise awareness about the benefits and clinical outcomes associated with Impella therapy.
Develop Relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs): Build strong relationships with thought leaders and KOLs in the cardiology and cardiovascular surgery fields. Leverage their expertise and support to champion the use of Impella devices in their respective institutions.
Clinical Trial and Data Integration:
Support Clinical Trials: Provide support in the design and execution of clinical trials or registry programs focused on Impella therapy, ensuring that all research and data collection is conducted in accordance with clinical standards.
Leverage Clinical Data: Use clinical data and case studies to support the development of treatment protocols, sales presentations, and educational materials that demonstrate the clinical efficacy of the Impella system.
Product and Clinical Knowledge Enhancement:
Stay Current on Product and Clinical Trends: Maintain an in-depth understanding of the Impella product line, clinical evidence, and emerging trends in mechanical circulatory support therapy. Regularly attend trainings, clinical events, and industry conferences to stay abreast of new developments.
Provide Feedback to the Manufacturer: Act as a liaison between clinicians and the company, providing feedback on device performance, clinical challenges, and product improvements.
Customer Support & Troubleshooting:
On-site Clinical Support: Provide hands-on clinical support during complex procedures, troubleshooting issues and assisting physicians and staff with Impella device deployment and operation.
Clinical Troubleshooting: Respond to device-related concerns and provide real-time troubleshooting assistance to ensure optimal device function and patient safety during procedures.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure detailed documentation of training activities, clinical support provided, and sales or therapy development progress in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant healthcare regulations, ethical guidelines, and industry standards, including hospital-specific guidelines and protocols for Impella use.
Qualifications
