    Position summary

    e lookout for a dynamic Payroll Analyst II. This role, under the mentorship of the Payroll Manager, plays a critical part in our fast-moving Payroll Team by supporting payroll processing, reporting, and tax analysis. Additionally, the position involves conducting detailed audits of payroll, wages, and tax data across all states where KinderCare Education operates.

    We're committed to ensuring timely and accurate employee payments, maintaining cost efficiency, and adhering to all regulatory standards. To fulfill this mission, we're improving our teams, processes, and systems. We seek a vibrant, motivated individual who combines exceptional analytical, project management, and leadership skills.
    Responsibilities:

    • Support and improve payroll processing, auditing, and tax functions, including assisting the Operations team with customer service inquiries related to payroll and taxes.

    • Perform various periodic and ad hoc reporting as required including but not limited to financial, tax and operation audit requests.

    • Follow internal controls to protect the assets of the company.

    • Proactively improve processes, accuracy and efficiency with an ability to articulate such findings.

    • Perform self-review of work to identify problems and solutions.

    • Leads and influences project decisions to deliver project to meet business objectives.

    • Advances issues and risks to leadership when appropriate and drives solutions and decisions.

    • Participate in special projects as assigned.

    • Assist in crafting user friendly training documentation for the payroll team and perform trainings as needed.

    • Liaison with other departments to assist with reporting needs.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or another related field preferred

    • Seeking candidates with at least two years of experience in multi-state payroll tax and strong reporting skills, preferably with ADP Reporting. CPA or CPP certification is a plus.

    • Experience in a medium to large scale multi-state, multi-unit organization needed.

    • Seeking a candidate who combines compassion and urgency in handling payroll tax issues, can work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment, and possesses leadership skills with the capacity to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    • Knowledge of ADP Enterprise and ADP eTime Payroll products, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other relevant software applications.
