In this role, the candidate will focus on strategic partnerships for designated customers for the wide range of capabilities offered by Leidos.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth within the State Medicaid market.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including state leaders, government agencies, and vendor partners.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging industry knowledge and market insights to drive revenue growth.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals that meet the needs of Medicaid clients.
Lead negotiations and contract discussions with clients, ensuring favorable outcomes for Leidos.
Monitor market trends and competitive activities, providing insights and recommendations to inform business strategy.
Track and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
Participate as required in the Leidos business development process, including pipeline reviews, opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, and proposal reviews.
Serve as a customer advocate by helping to identify mission needs and represent the customer perspective.
Experience/Preferred Skills:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
12+ years of experience in State and Local Business Development, with a focus on the Medicaid market.
Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
Strong network of relationships with state leaders and key stakeholders in the Medicaid industry.
Knowledge of contract vehicles government process and procurements, and lobbying compliance in State Depart of Health and Huma Services (DHHS)
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively.
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute business plans to achieve objectives.
Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional customer value.
Relevant Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Medicaid Enterprise Systems
Demonstrable ability to leverage pre-existing network of clients or contacts.
Prior experience of collaboration efforts outside the organization.
Experience in relationship building that increases market penetration and leads to increased opportunities with new and existing clients.
Demonstrated ability to manage and grow all aspects of a business area successfully including customers, people, programs, financials, and new business over multiple years.
Experience with breaking into new accounts / customers through effective capture tactics.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
