Primary Responsibilities
Demonstrated success in growing business with defense agencies or equivalent.
Expand and qualify the opportunity pipeline by identifying new business opportunities through leveraging current technologies, customer relationships, and cross-company collaboration.
Support the development of growth plans to align with strategic goals specific to DTRA's mission in threat reduction and security.
Cultivate internal cross-organizational relationships to drive growth through collaboration with other sectors.
Gather market intelligence and competitive data on potential targeted pursuits and develop marketing strategies that enhance the value of this intelligence for DTRA-focused opportunities.
Act as a thought leader in bid decisions, gate reviews, and cost strategy development.
Conduct customer visits and perform research to understand the current and emerging needs and requirements of DTRA and its mission.
Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with DTRA stakeholders and assess competitor capabilities aligned to DTRA's requirements across a diverse business portfolio.
Basic Qualifications
A bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
At least 10 years of leadership experience working within the defense, intelligence community, government services, or other professional services, covering all aspects of business development, program capture, planning, and execution.
Proven success in leading opportunity captures exceeding $100 million, including the development of win strategies, shaping strategies with DTRA and DoD customers, and contributing to pricing strategies.
Demonstrated ability to identify, establish, and leverage significant customer relationships with senior-level officials and program stakeholders within DTRA.
Familiarity with government contracting processes, current acquisition trends, and DTRA's acquisition strategies and processes.
Knowledge and experience in Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) threat reduction and defense initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to work with Counter-Small Unmanned Aerial Surveillance (C-sUAS) Drone programs.
Knowledge of competitors and ability to anticipate competitor behavior in the market.
Strong written and oral communication skills; experience presenting to senior executives, peers, and customers.
Management of a pipeline exceeding $4B in opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
Top Secret clearance.
Willingness to travel as needed, approximately 10%-20% per month.
Undergraduate degree in a hard science (e.g., chemistry, physics, engineering).
Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Pay Range:
Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
