    As a Distribution Engineering Lead, you can expect to:

    • Lead the development of electrical distribution work packages; Perform engineering design and analysis; potentially work on capital/ reliability design (i.e. reconductor, voltage conversion, DG, FLISR, underground, etc. designs)

    • Be responsible for QAQC tasks on your assigned team; You will play a role in quality reviews of your team's designs prior to submittals for client projects

    • Review engineering design packages for clients; Review and organize existing program work

    • Perform scope analysis of work assigned and maintain schedule adherence to advocate client priorities

    • Provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards have been met.

    • Coordinate conflicting utilities and other field engineering design requirements; Assist with work permit development, easements, and ROW applications

    What Sets You Apart (Background Requirements):

    • 4+ years of relevant experience.

    • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial). Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

    • Relevant experience working directly with an electric utility or an electric utility consulting company performing design engineering for electric distribution.

    • Knowledge and demonstrated proficiency with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC)

    • Experience with engineering design quality control

    • Familiarity with Pole Loading software (O-Calc, Pole Foreman, etc) and distribution pole analysis

    • Providing estimated costs, development of a BOM

    • Engineering experience with structural analysis, guying calcs, cable pulling calcs, coordination of protective devices, calculations of electric demand and fault currents

    • Experience using CAD programs to perform Electrical Distribution design

    • Previous QAQC experience

    • Proven experience and proficiency with GIS is preferred

    • Prior Leadership experience is preferred
