    Position summary

    hematics and layouts using AutoCAD

    • Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as ABS, DNV, IEEE, USCG, and IMO regulations

    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate subsystems into maritime platforms

    • Support prototype development, testing, and field deployment

    • Conduct verification and validation activities for marine electrical systems

    • Prepare detailed technical documentation, including test plans and reports

    • Troubleshoot and optimize existing systems to improve reliability and performance

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

    • 5+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering

    • Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design and documentation

    • Strong understanding of analog/digital circuit design and power distribution

    • Willingness to travel for field testing and integration

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Knowledge of shipboard and marine electrical systems

    • Familiarity with PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.), SCADA, and embedded control systems

    • Familiarity with Altium Designer or similar PCB design and layout tools

    • Knowledge of MIL-STD electrical design practices

    • Prior experience supporting DoD or naval programs

    • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles as applied to industrial control systems and automation environments

    • Familiarity with shipboard networking protocols (NMEA 2000, Modbus, CANbus)

    Pay Range:
    Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00

    The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
