    Your New Role and Responsibilities

    The Air Component Command and Control Capability System (AC-C2CS) is a mission-critical suite of software applications that enables the Australian Defence Force (ADF) to effectively plan, prepare, execute, manage, and report on aviation operations.

    The Systems Administrator will support our customers technology, where an overview of responsibilities includes:

    • System Operations & Maintenance: Monitor, maintain, and optimise AC-C2CS infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability across Defence environments.

    • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide responsive support to end users, diagnosing and resolving system issues, and coordinating with engineering teams for escalations.

    • Configuration & Change Control: Manage system configurations and implement approved changes in line with Defence protocols and change management procedures.

    • Security & Compliance: Uphold system security standards, apply patches and updates, and support accreditation and audit activities to meet Defence cybersecurity requirements.

    • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Work closely with Leidos and Defence stakeholders to identify opportunities for system enhancements and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

    What You'll Bring to Make an Impact

    • System Administration Expertise - Strong experience with Windows/Linux servers, virtualisation (e.g., VMware), and networking fundamentals.

    • Cybersecurity & Compliance - Knowledge of Defence security standards, patching, system hardening, and accreditation processes.

    • ITIL & Change Management - Familiarity with incident, problem, and change management processes; ability to maintain accurate documentation.

    • Problem-Solving & Communication - Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to collaborate with Defence stakeholders and technical teams.
