    Position summary

    nd reliability of software applications and services in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery Pipeline within a commercial cloud environment. You will play a crucial role in the software development lifecycle, aiming to streamline testing processes, reduce defects, and accelerate software releases.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Architect automated testing solutions: Define, implement, and maintain the overall test automation framework and strategy, ensuring it aligns with business goals and scales to meet evolving needs.

    • Drive test automation best practices: Establish and enforce standards, coding guidelines, and best practices for test automation across the organization.

    • Guide and mentor junior and mid-level test engineers, sharing best practices, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

    • Participate in program Agile software development initiatives (standup, planning, increment planning) to support innovation and enhancement of custom applications through iteration/functionality testing within a commercial cloud environment.

    • Participate and collaborate with team members to assess StoryPoint/complexity efforts (using best practices) to ensure proper testing and delivery of functionality per User Story Acceptance Criteria

    • Collaborate with team members (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Software Developers) to develop test approaches with emphasis on automation of recurring/regression test cases through selected toolsets

    • Develop automated test cases using knowledge of custom Applications through designated GUI/COTS products (ex: Selenium and Katalon Studio)

    • Leverage DevOps practices to ensure repeatability and Configuration Management of test cases/scripts are maintained and continuously improved

    • Develop and document end-to-end functionality test case narratives using task management system (JIRA/Confluence) and support performance testing/evaluation activities using tools such as Jmeter

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Extensive experience in software quality assurance with a significant focus on automation testing.

    • Extensive experience with creation, authoring, execution and documentation of test cases/result sets for software products in an agile cadence

    • Deep understanding and hands-on experience in designing and implementing robust automation frameworks using tools like Selenium or Katalon Studio

    • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java or Python enabling the ability to write efficient and scalable test scripts.

    • Extensive experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub) and their integration with automated tests.

    • Direct experience with software performance testing practices

    • Extensive experience working/testing within Commercial Cloud Platforms (ex: AWS) and DevOps tools, and working in a SAFe Agile and DevOps development environment

    • Demonstrated ability to work within collaborative environment to execute test cases complimentary to development efforts

    • Master's degree with 15 or more years of prior relevant experience. Will consider experience in lieu of a degree

    • Candidate must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Hands-on experience with Katalon Studio and Katalon Runtime Engine

    • Proven experience leading software verification initiatives and mentoring junior or mid-level engineers.

    • Experience reviewing output of CI/CD jobs and capable of tracking test failures back to code changes that resulted in bugs

    • Capable of reviewing code check-ins to understand the impact of code changes on system functionality and potential applications bugs.

    • Direct experience with AWS environments

    Pay Range:
    Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00

    The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
