The Application Support Engineer on the Engineering team is responsible for handling Product issues that customers face in their deployments. This includes troubleshooting features, bugs and deployments in complex environments. A successful Sr. Application Support Engineer will produce all root cause analysis of functionality in a timely manner and will communicate and work with colleagues to solve problems and improve the systems they work with. They may need to interact with other support teams and customers as deemed necessary. Furthermore, the Sr. Application Support Engineer should have a deep understanding and knowledge level of the product they are working with, to the point that they can help others on the team grow and develop.

  • Prioritize and troubleshoot issues within the SLA's.

  • Document, automate, and test technical solution for new systems or enhancements to existing systems.

  • Working with various teams in LogicMonitor to deliver software products that support LogicMonitor's business growth.

  • Coach and lead other team members from a technical perspective in design and implementation.

  • Envision system features and functionalities by analyzing business requirements.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve product/application issues for escalated support cases.

  • Collaborate with a diverse, distributed development organization. Our development team spans multiple cities in the US and Asia.

  • Contribute to Tech Talks, involving research on new technologies that are applicable to this position.

  • Ability to tackle performance and design issues at a deep technical level.

  • Understanding and improvement of development process and application deployment

What You'll Need:

  • 3+ years of experience in Supporting commercial or enterprise applications.
  • 2+ years of experience in working in Windows Servers based environments.
  • BS or above degree in computer science or related field.
  • String understanding of Windows Active directory. Hands-on understanding of how GPO works.
  • Strong understand of scripting using Powershell.
  • Ability to quickly develop competencies in numerous technologies (i.e. you can learn quickly!)
  • Ability to work with a development team and develop strong, reliable, and effective relationships with team members
  • Excellent in communication (written and verbal) and collaboration with other functional teams (Support Engineering, Tools, Product, etc.).
  • Capable of thoughtful analysis of the costs and benefits of the work being done, with an eye towards maximizing customer utility
