    This position is based at our on-site Tech Hub in Charlotte, North Carolina. Lowe's Tech Hub is an ultramodern work environment, complete with cutting-edge technology, collaborative workspaces, an on-site barista and Zen Garden, and other perks to enhance your work experience.

    What You Will Do

    • Design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses and validate model assumptions

    • Analyze experimental results and provide recommendations for further optimization.

    • Implement clustering, classification, regression, and other machine learning algorithms as needed.

    • Apply data mining techniques to extract actionable insights from structured and unstructured data.

    • Identify patterns and anomalies in data to detect fraud, predict customer behavior, or optimize business processes.

    • Develop and deploy predictive models using machine learning algorithms.

    • Perform feature engineering, model selection, and hyperparameter tuning to optimize model performance.

    • Evaluate model accuracy, precision, recall, and other performance metrics

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 2 years of experience in software development or a related field

    • 2 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC) through iterative agile development

    • 2 years of experience working with any of the following: frontend technologies (user interface/user experience), middleware (microservices and application programming interfaces), database technologies, or DevOps

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)

    Preferred Skills/Education

    • Proven experience in data science, machine learning, or predictive analytics roles

    • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science (e.g., Python, R, etc.)

    • Experienced in using AI/ML platforms, technologies, techniques (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, NLP, LLM, GenAI)
