    Position summary

    ter expert for communications, advanced communications consulting to the business unit, addressing challenges, executing process and projects, while partnering closely with senior leaders for alignment. This role will partner with other communications and operational leads across the enterprise to initiate process improvements that drive clear, actionable, productive communications to vendors and other Lowe's functional area. Responsibilities may vary based on the area of work.

    What You Will Do

    • Owns the delivery of formal and consistent messaging to Lowe's vendor population, including messaging for targeted business initiatives and key vendor engagement moments.

    • Stewards every vendor communication through an enterprise approval process, with intentionality to ensure all audience and messages are easy to understand and action.

    • Owns timely and efficient execution of the merch support by leading processes and projects, creating and maintaining of best practices, and designing of tools and techniques, with limited guidance.

    • Reviews and evaluates key processes and performance to identify areas of inefficiency or ineffectiveness and develops recommendations, processes and actions to improve. Owns facilitation of sharing best practices across the team to drive efficiency.

    • Owns relationships and collaboration with stakeholders to collect their feedback regarding job tasks, obstacles, opportunities, best practices and ideas, compiling feedback from partners to offer solutions that drive productivity, simplicity and efficiency across the merchandising organization.

    • Manages the communications approval process, seeking approval from appropriate parties who influence how, when and to which vendor partners.

    • Provides support and collaborate cross functionally to effectively deliver projects, best practices, and process improvement initiatives.

    • Build and utilize qualitative data (focus groups, cross functional council sessions, surveys) and quantitative analytics (financial, payroll, performance reporting) to infer insights, inform business partners across multiple areas of merchandising (IRP, Merch Ops, Global, Core, Pricing, etc), drive action and evaluate performance and drive productivity, efficiency and simplification.

    • May direct the work of junior team members on specific projects, provide feedback on tasks and help facilitate communication.

    • Leads management of project and complex programs, integrated communications programs supporting special projects and initiatives.

    • Manages cross-functional relationships to ensure seamless collaboration with internal partners including: Store Communications, Public Relations, Investor Relations, Community Relations, Digital Content and Marketing.

    • Develops new approaches to deliver content in an engaging way to support staying current with communication trends.

    • Provides thought leadership and strategic counsel on opportunities that aligns with the company's strategy for associate experience and company brand.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree Communication, Business, Project Management, Business Administration, or
      other related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable

    • 4 Years Experience in either communications, public relations, project management, business operations

    • 1 Year Experience in either merchandising, retail, merchandising support, store operations or related field.

    • Intermediate Microsoft suite skills: Word, Excel Etc.

    • Experience leveraging business insights to develop and lead business solutions that drive results

    • Experience in management of overlapping, complex and cross-functional events and projects

    • Experience optimizing processes to reduce drive productivity, simplicity efficiency and overall satisfaction

    Preferred Skills/Education

    • Corporate experience in a large organization, preferably retail

    • Understanding of merchandising & store operations

    • Advanced Microsoft suite skills: Word, Etc.

    • Experience communicating with intent to influence decisions and drive business results
