Retail Facilities Store Equipment Strategy Internship
The Store Equipment Strategy team is responsible for planning and analysis, performance baselining, and overall asset portfolio health of all store equipment assets. They partner with the Enterprise Strategic Sourcing team on current and upcoming RFPs to assess optimal vendor support for service and replacement of all assets and vendor audits to ensure vendors are abiding by contractual rates and fees. They lead pilots and strategic initiatives to drive opportunities across the business, partnering cross-functionally across the broader organization.
The Store Equipment internship will consist of a project-based assignment focused on process automation through intelligent assets and use of AI to analyze big data and make informed decisions enabling just in time maintenance & repair. Through this experience the position will gain an overall broaden perspective of Facility Management and its impact on business results, organizational knowledge, and business acumen.
Areas of learning
Understand Retail Facilities store equipment assets and preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and planned and reactive replacements
Participate on a cross functional team to deploy a 3rd party intelligent asset data tracking hardware for Store Equipment Assets and explore ways to collect and organize data into actionable tasks utilizing AI.
Lead a vendor audit by becoming familiar with the SOW contract, partnering with cross-functional teams, conducting an analysis on historical workorders, and presenting key findings and action items
Participate in deep dives on store equipment problem areas and present analysis conclusions and action items
Assist in capital planning by determining asset counts, age, etc to help build the capital budget for the 2025 Plan
Education and/or Experience:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Data Science, Facility Management, Finance, or related fields from an accredited university with expected graduation dates of December 2025 or May 2026
Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA is required
Strong Analytical skills with an interest in turning big data into actionable results
Proficient in MS Office Programs (specifically Word, Excel, PowerBI, and Power Point) & SQL or other relational database management system
Strong collaborative, innovative, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills are required
Relevant internship and experience is a plus, as is experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization
