Sales
Pre-plan and execute sales calls to new and existing customers on master route
Present fact-based sales presentations to secure new product distribution and to increase sales of existing products
Secure discretionary displays and points of interruption that meet or exceed the execution of the competitive set
Execute shelf set standards, and ensure space to sales meets or exceeds the competitive set
Conduct staff training and samplings
Conduct consumer samplings, with a focus on brand education and functional benefits versus the competitive set
Keep abreast of competitive trends and report appropriate developments
Build quality relationships with customers
Merchandising
Build displays, arrange shelves, and ensure correct pricing to maximize promotions
Stock, face, and maintain company merchandise at accounts
Take opportunities to creatively and effectively showcase company brands at account locations
Host special tasting and promotional events as required
Budget Management
Control operating and A&P expenses and manage budget and expenses appropriately
Deliver and exceed on annual budget for assigned territory in terms of revenue and distribution
Administration
Monitor and track marketing programs
Attend and participate in events, training and meetings
Coordinate and conduct tastings and events as required
Review and prepare reports/sales materials
Use of CRM to set weekly route plan and manage objectives
What You Have:
Education & Experience
Minimum 1 year of progressive experience in total, in sales, preferably in beer/wine/spirits industry or CPG industry
Completed Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce or related from a recognized institution
Skills & Abilities
Effective leadership and strategic influencing skills
Demonstrated ability to work across functions, business units and geographies - a strong background in a matrix organization is beneficial
Effective business systems thinker and a good understanding of business process knowledge
Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with others in a diverse environment
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time
Strong stakeholder management focus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient with personal computers and business application
