This is a hands-on technical role focused on reliability, scalability, and automation. You'll work closely with other engineers to design, implement, and optimize systems that power our modernization journey to cloud-native architectures.
As an SRE, you'll contribute to building robust infrastructure, improving observability, and driving operational excellence. You'll collaborate across teams, solve complex technical challenges, and set high standards for engineering quality-without formal people management responsibilities.
How You'll Help Take Us There
- Implement and refine SRE best practices to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Automate workflows and infrastructure to reduce manual effort and accelerate delivery.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless, secure deployments.
- Develop and enhance observability solutions-metrics, logging, and tracing-to ensure system health and compliance.
- Define and monitor SLIs/SLOs, using data-driven insights to improve service performance.
- Troubleshoot complex distributed systems issues and drive root cause analysis for incidents.
- Participate in incident response and postmortems, ensuring lessons learned translate into actionable improvements.
- Collaborate with developers on containerization and cloud-native deployments, optimizing for resilience and scalability.
- Contribute to infrastructure as code initiatives using tools like Terraform to standardize and automate environments.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, experiment with new tools, and share knowledge with the team.
- Advocate for reliability and operational excellence across engineering teams through technical influence and collaboration.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java or Python) and scripting (e.g., Bash).
- Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
- Experience defining and monitoring SLIs/SLOs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in complex distributed environments.
- Excellent communication skills-able to collaborate effectively and explain technical concepts clearly.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
