    Position summary

    This is a hybrid internship - ability to work in our HQ White Plains office and remotely.

    Department Projects and Responsibilities:

    • Conduct in-depth legal research on various topics related to the alcohol industry, including federal and state regulations, licensing, and compliance.

    • Assist in drafting and reviewing various types of contracts, including distribution agreements, marketing agreements, and supplier contracts.

    • Support the legal team in the development and implementation of internal and external compliance policies and procedures, including record-keeping, reporting, and training.

    • Monitor industry news and regulatory updates to ensure the company remains informed about relevant legal developments.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide legal guidance on a range of business issues, including marketing, sales, and operations.

    • Assist in the preparation of legal memoranda, briefing materials, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external partners.

    • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the legal team.

    Requirements

    • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of an accredited law school.

    • Demonstrated interest in the alcohol industry, corporate law, or regulatory compliance.

    • Strong legal research and writing skills.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

    • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research platforms (e.g., Practical Law).

    • Must be at least 21 years of age, in accordance with alcohol industry regulations.
