This position is based in Temple, TX, which will require the candidate to report and work from the office on a regular basis. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute commute to Temple, TX.

What you'll do as a Merchandising Logistics Analyst:

  • Expand carrier base and maintain strong working relationships with all contracted carriers.

  • Manage all customer pick-up purchase orders; identify LTL conversion opportunities, tender loads to carriers, and track shipment status.

  • Coordinate activities and communication between suppliers, carriers, Corporate Merchandising and McLane divisions to minimize service failures and/or claims and meet service-level goals.

  • Gain proficiency in traffic management system to maximize utilization of software and support carrier interface to assure compliance objectives.

  • Evaluate existing processes, communication protocols and system interfaces to identify and implement stop gap measures to achieve continuous improvements.

  • Develop training and/or educational material for internal stakeholders to improve awareness of inbound initiatives.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a Merchandising Logistics Analyst:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in business, supply-chain logistics, transportation, or related field.

  • Have 3+ years relevant experience in carrier or traffic management, freight scheduling or brokerage operations.

  • Have strong time management, problem solving, analytic decision making, and negotiation skills a must.

  • Have knowledge of claims administration and LTL consolidations will be a plus.

  • This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
