Position summary

omer Drawings**: Provide direction and oversight in preparing customer-specific product drawings.

Design Custom Electrical Circuits: Develop customer-specific electrical circuits to meet order requirements and ensure proper integration.

Support Quality & Testing: Identify non-standard customer testing requirements and communicate them to the Quality department for proper inclusion in test plans.

Collaborate With Design Engineering: Provide design requests, clarification, and guidance to Design Engineering for customer-specific design needs.

Address Technical Questions: Resolve customer technical inquiries promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.

Engage With Vendors: Work with vendors to resolve product configuration or component-related issues.

Support Production & QC: Assist Manufacturing and Quality Control teams in resolving production issues and ensuring product compliance.

Partner With Sales Contracts: Provide technical support to Sales Contracts Clerks to assist with contract administration.

Mentor New Team Members: Assist with the training and onboarding of newly hired Applications Engineers.

Promote Department Goals: Represent the Application Engineering Department professionally through effective collaboration with internal departments and external suppliers.

What You Bring

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (EE/EET) or Mechanical Engineering (ME/MET)

  • 3–5 years of experience in a design or application engineering role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Technical Expertise:

  • Advanced knowledge of electrical transmission and distribution products

  • Ability to read, understand, and create technical drawings and documentation

Skills & Attributes:

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously

Technology Proficiency:

  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office

  • Proficiency with CAD software and ERP/MRP systems
