Assembly Technician I

e Products for Shipment:** Perform ship preparation, including applying RTV sealant, touch-up painting, and wrapping components such as breakers, bushings, and cabinets.

• Package Products: Securely package breakers for shipment to ensure safe delivery.
• Operate Tools & Equipment Safely: Use various hand and power tools correctly and efficiently to assemble sub-assemblies and products.
• Read & Interpret Technical Documents: Understand technical drawings, mechanical blueprints, and bills of materials to ensure precise assembly.
• Inspect for Quality:
  • Operate specialized test equipment and measurement devices to inspect subassemblies and assemblies for defects.
  • Identify and correct material and process defects to meet MEPPI's quality standards.
• Complete Documentation: Accurately complete process check sheets, daily production sheets, and other required paperwork per company procedures.
• Ensure Safety & Quality Compliance:

  • Follow MEPPI's Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies.

  • Be able to discuss the importance of these policies and how they impact daily work.

What You Bring:

• Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED, plus two years of relevant work experience—or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Technical & Mechanical Skills:
  • Basic understanding of computer applications.
  • Strong mechanical ability, demonstrated by proper use of hand and power tools.
• Safety & Equipment Training:

  • Applicable training required for operation of forklifts, cranes, and other machinery.
