Issue and maintain HVAC manuals, training documents, presentations, contractual documents, etc.
Originate, select and/or maintain purchasing specifications for all components of an HVAC system.
Support field service work by providing information and troubleshooting equipment both remotely and in person.
Develop and/or approve HVAC assembly and test processes. Direct and coordinate assembly and testing of prototype products.
Identify U.S. components to replace imported components and participate in vendor qualification
Perform product and equipment testing. Compile and analyze operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment or product.
Assist and support Manufacturing, Quality and Sales departments with production and documentation needs.
Further the goals and positive, professional image of the Department by conducting business with outside contacts and other MEPPI departments in a timely and cooperative manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technology or HVAC/R, with 3-5 years' experience in a design engineering capacity, or equivalent education and experience.
Advanced knowledge of HVAC technology and design.
Advanced interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required to communicate with customers, employees, and suppliers.
Ability to work in a team environment and on several projects simultaneously.
Ability to read, understand and create technical drawings and material.
Advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
Advanced computer skills, with emphasis on Microsoft Office products, CAD software, and ERP/MRP systems.
