Field Service HVAC Technician

and other paperwork as necessary (e.g., equipment installation results, test results, work orders, any customer required documents, etc.).

• Diagnose and Document: Perform refrigerant system repair work on the railcar, including leak detection, reclamation of refrigerant, evacuation, charging of R407C, and copper pipe brazing repairs.

• Collaborate Across Teams: Receive and ship parts and/or materials as needed. Support inventory control practices and manage as-required supplies effectively to avoid shortages and minimize waste.

• Build Strong Relationships: Promote a positive image of the Service Center Division by working cooperatively with MEPPI teams, customers, and suppliers.

What You Bring:

• Education: Associate's Degree in Specialized Technologies preferred, accredited non-degree HVAC diploma or related field of study; and/or minimum 3 years' HVAC field repair/service experience, relevant transit experience and field work or equivalent education and experience.

• Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems and networks as gained through training, Universal EPA Section 608 Technician Certifications and a current Brazing Certification.

• Communication: Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members in a professional, service-oriented manner.

• Technology Proficiency: Developed computer skills, particularly with emphasis MS Office products including Word and Excel.

• Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to rent vehicles as needed.
