Position summary

  • Develop and execute plans for work to be performed at customer sites. Coordinate work with customers and contractors.
  • Assemble GSD equipment for Mitsubishi projects including Sequencing, Techniques and Quality Control functions for installation.
  • Inventory and organization of storage, moving unpacking and staging of equipment.
  • Prepare documentation and reports on field incidents, daily site status, testing, customer problems, maintenance and all site visits. Store and maintain all reports in company software.
  • Perform surveying and field checks of equipment, site dimensions and tolerances of OEM and non-OEM equipment.
  • Communicate directly with customers about problems and issues with supplied equipment. Report problems and issues with supplied equipment to GSD management.
  • Conduct customer and contractor training for installation, operation, and maintenance of Mitsubishi generation equipment.
  • Communicate findings to and collaborate with MEPPI Project, Engineering and Sales departments to identify and resolve equipment problems.
  • Prepare and execute test procedures and plans.
  • Further the goals and positive, professional image of the Generation Systems Division by professionally representing the Company at customer locations and through interaction with other MEPPI Departments and vendors.
  • Know MEPPI's Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies. Be able to fully discuss the importance of these policies and how they impact work.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technology field with 5-7 years of experience with assembly/ manufacturing/maintenance in power generation, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of generation equipment and how to properly install, maintain, test and repair such equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of safety regulations and procedures with corresponding safety attitude. (OSHA cert.)
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced interpersonal communication skills required to communicate with customers, employees and vendors.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, bills of materials and instruction manuals.
  • Advanced computer skills with emphasis on MS Office products and ERP systems.
