Perform Cycle count of all inventory items on a regular basis to ensure accurate inventory value.
Ensure that all material transactions are recorded on paper and in the business system according to Company procedures and policies.
Participate in vendor quality reviews.
Collaborate with and assist the Engineering, Purchasing and Sales Departments to prevent and/or remedy quality problems. Perform source inspections at vendor sites and assist with vendor related issues and concerns.
Oversee and review inventory and inspection documents and document approval process for accuracy and accountability.
Prepare and present nonconformance reports to GSD Manager on a weekly basis and recommend solutions.
Plan material flow within the warehouse and to production to ensure efficient use of personnel and transportation. Conduct audits to ensure optimum use of the warehousing facilities.
Coordinate receiving as required by contacting the buyers and suppliers to schedule deliveries.
Train others on proper warehouse functions including receiving, kitting, shipping, fork truck operation, tool usage and the business system.
Further the goals and positive, professional image of GSD by conducting business with other MEPPI divisions, partners and customers in a timely and cooperative manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 3 three years of warehousing experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Prior applicable training on safe operation of identified machinery and equipment (e.g. fork truck, crane, etc.)
Basic mathematical and metric measurement skills.
Intermediate interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Intermediate analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
Intermediate computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products and business systems
