Drive Cost and Quality Improvements:
Analyze products and processes for opportunities to reduce costs, improve quality, and boost manufacturing efficiency.

Solve Complex Assembly Problems:
Investigate manufacturing assembly issues and work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve them promptly and effectively.

Support Bill of Material Improvements:
Assist Design Engineering in creating and revising Bills of Material (BOM) and Bills of Manufacture to support product and process enhancements.

Optimize Purchasing and Manufacturing Practices:
Collaborate with Design Engineering, Quality, and Purchasing to ensure BOMs and manufacturing structures enable cost-effective purchasing and efficient production.

Provide Product and Process Support:
Support the development of standardized design criteria, new product designs, prototype assembly, new product introductions, and the creation of assembly procedures within EDD's manufacturing engineering system (QUINTERRA).

Support Cross-Functional Teams:
Partner with Design Engineering, Production, Manufacturing, Quality, and EDD leadership as needed to drive department and company goals.

Promote EDD's Professional Image:
Further the positive, professional image of the Electrical Distribution Division through effective interactions with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.

What You Bring:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field. Equivalent education and experience will be considered.

Experience:
0-2 years of related engineering experience.

Skills:

  • Solid knowledge of mechanical assembly, fabrication methods, industrial engineering, and lean manufacturing practices.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills for collaborating with suppliers and internal teams.

  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Team-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and create technical drawings.

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, MS Office, and ERP/MRP systems.
