Work with the Inside Sales department to determine incorrect or unattainable customer site dates and have the sales order changed to reflect a proper date.
Review manufactured items required by MRP, create and maintain inventory jobs. Keep MRP parameters accurate and current.
Coordinate sub-assembly jobs and the subsequent shippable requirements to meet the production schedule.
Create and maintain reports, summaries, and analyses to show how well the production schedule is being met.
Continually evaluate scheduling tools and methods, recommend process improvements, and implement upgrades to production scheduling techniques for CPSD.
Regularly communicate with other department members regarding incoming parts andmaterials, parts changes and shortages, delivery schedules, and other variables which may impact the production schedule.
Investigate deviations from the production schedule and follow up. Investigate and recommend solutions to problems resulting from part shortages or other problems which may potentially affect the production schedule.
Review customer change notices and confirm that necessary changes are made.
Further the goals and positive, professional image of the Manufacturing Department by conducting business with other MEPPI departments and outside contacts in a timely and cooperative manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree in business or technical field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in production scheduling/control, or equivalent education and experience.
Intermediate interpersonal and communication skills required to communicate with suppliers and employees.
Intermediate analytical and problem solving skills.
Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products and MRP/ERP systems.
