Build & Maintain Quality Systems:
Develop, implement, and continuously improve the CPSD Quality Management System (QMS), including Quality Standard Procedures (QSPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all product lines, service offerings, and acquisitions.
Ensure Compliance & Certification:
Maintain CPSD's ISO 9001–certified program and prepare for, support, and participate in internal, external, and customer audits.
Lead & Develop Teams:
Manage, mentor, and develop the quality team through training, cross-training, performance management, and skill-based assessments in alignment with company policies and shop wage programs.
Drive Manufacturing & Supplier Quality:
Establish inspection plans, manufacturing check sheets, and testing procedures. Qualify, evaluate, and partner with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and certification compliance.
Resolve Quality Issues:
Oversee investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution of quality issues, nonconformances, MRRs, and field incidents. Implement effective corrective and preventive actions and ensure timely customer resolution.
Support Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for value-added product improvements, cost reductions, and customer-driven continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage Programs & Reporting:
Oversee the division's calibration program, support RMA/VRMA processes, manage QA staffing plans and budgets, and prepare monthly quality performance and status reports.
What You Bring
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing or technical environment, with at least 5 years of people management experience.
Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of ISO 9001, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root Cause Analysis, and quality methodologies; strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems, controls, testing methods, and quality reporting; experience with manufacturing and continuous improvement tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and JIT.
Leadership & Communication Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, influence cross-functional partners, and work effectively with suppliers and customers; strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
