Organize Mobilization Efforts: Coordinate site mobilization and demobilization, process subcontractor timesheets, review and confirm change orders, document job progress, and record site meeting minutes.
Investigate and Resolve Issues: Conduct on-site investigations to analyze equipment performance issues, determine root causes, and coordinate resolutions with MEPPI's Project, Engineering, and Sales teams.
Communicate Effectively: Share findings and proposed resolutions with customers regarding equipment performance and coordinate solutions to meet their needs.
Document and Report: Prepare detailed reports and documentation regarding customer equipment issues and site visits.
Promote Safety: Conduct daily tailboard safety meetings, highlighting the day's work plan and identifying potential safety concerns.
Train and Educate: Provide training to customers and contractors on the installation, operation, and maintenance of SSD equipment.
Manage Equipment: Oversee inventory, storage, and staging of equipment. Conduct surveying and field checks of equipment, site dimensions, and tolerances.
Maintain Tools and Resources: Catalog, schedule, track, and maintain test and field equipment to ensure readiness and reliability.
What You Bring:
Education: Associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technology field, with at least 8 years of experience in assembly, manufacturing, or maintenance within the utilities sector—or equivalent education and experience.
Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of substation subsystems and equipment or similar systems and products.
Blueprint Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of technical drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics, bills of materials, and user manuals.
Safety Awareness: Advanced knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, coupled with a strong safety-oriented attitude.
Problem-Solving Skills: Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing complex challenges.
Communication Skills: Advanced interpersonal communication skills to effectively collaborate with customers, employees, and vendors.
Tech-Savvy: Advanced computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office products, MS Project, MRP/ERP systems, and company timekeeping and expense reporting systems.
