Position summary

Organize Mobilization Efforts: Coordinate site mobilization and demobilization, process subcontractor timesheets, review and confirm change orders, document job progress, and record site meeting minutes.

  • Investigate and Resolve Issues: Conduct on-site investigations to analyze equipment performance issues, determine root causes, and coordinate resolutions with MEPPI's Project, Engineering, and Sales teams.

  • Communicate Effectively: Share findings and proposed resolutions with customers regarding equipment performance and coordinate solutions to meet their needs.

  • Document and Report: Prepare detailed reports and documentation regarding customer equipment issues and site visits.

  • Promote Safety: Conduct daily tailboard safety meetings, highlighting the day's work plan and identifying potential safety concerns.

  • Train and Educate: Provide training to customers and contractors on the installation, operation, and maintenance of SSD equipment.

  • Manage Equipment: Oversee inventory, storage, and staging of equipment. Conduct surveying and field checks of equipment, site dimensions, and tolerances.

  • Maintain Tools and Resources: Catalog, schedule, track, and maintain test and field equipment to ensure readiness and reliability.

What You Bring:

  • Education: Associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technology field, with at least 8 years of experience in assembly, manufacturing, or maintenance within the utilities sector—or equivalent education and experience.

  • Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of substation subsystems and equipment or similar systems and products.

  • Blueprint Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of technical drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics, bills of materials, and user manuals.

  • Safety Awareness: Advanced knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, coupled with a strong safety-oriented attitude.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing complex challenges.

  • Communication Skills: Advanced interpersonal communication skills to effectively collaborate with customers, employees, and vendors.

  • Tech-Savvy: Advanced computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office products, MS Project, MRP/ERP systems, and company timekeeping and expense reporting systems.
