Assist project managers with review, presentation, and communication of financial results.
Monitor and report project financial performance and develop indexes/system to predict future performance.
Audit project Revenue and Cost Forecasts (RCF). Identify and report on financial impacts of forecast revisions and changes.
Assure compliance with GAAP and MEPPI policies and procedures related to project invoicing, foreign currency exchange, revenue and cost forecasting and recognition.
Advise, counsel and train analysts and finance personnel on appropriate methods for capturing data related to business transactions and entering information into the business system.
Provide financial data to support annual business planning.
Conduct post-project reviews to compare bid versus final financial outcomes
Further the goals and positive, professional image of the Division through effective interaction with customers, vendors and internal departments.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in accounting or business with 5-8 years of relevant accounting experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Advanced knowledge of accounting methods, principles and practices including project accounting, financial analysis and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Advanced interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills required to communicate with employees.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate complex financial information in a manner that can be understood by non-financial partners.
Ability to work in a team environment and on multiple projects simultaneously.
Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products and spreadsheet capabilities
