Position summary

olutions:** Work closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams to clarify software-related requirements, address issues, and propose solutions.

  • Develop Advanced Systems: Utilize or modify software to enhance remote monitoring, motion control, and electromechanical systems, including specifying performance, collaborating with third-party developers, testing, and implementation.
  • Ensure Compatibility and Security: Identify and assess hardware and software compatibility, manage system upgrades, apply patches, and ensure security for software products. Coordinate configuration controls and processes across divisions.
  • Evaluate Engineering Changes: Assess and route software-related Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Train and Mentor: Partner with SCD trainers to develop and provide advanced technical training for field technicians and support teams, offering software guidance and mentorship.
  • Participate in Design Reviews: Engage in product release design reviews with equipment design teams to ensure optimal software integration.
  • Represent MEPPI: Enhance the Division's professional image through effective interaction with customers, vendors, and internal departments.

What You Bring:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of software development or support experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of modern software development tools, cloud infrastructure, networking, and open-source technologies.
  • Media Technology Knowledge: Intermediate understanding of media packaging and encoding technologies.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities to tackle complex challenges.
  • Communication Skills: Advanced interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Tech Proficiency: Advanced computer skills with a strong focus on Microsoft Office products.
