This position will report to the CPSD Supply Chain Manager. You will be required to work hybrid in Warrendale, PA.
What You'll Do:
Manage and develop vendor/supplier relationships with key interfacing CPSD departments to strengthen supply management effectiveness.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage, draft, negotiate and execute supplier contracts and agreements including evaluation, qualification, selection, negotiation, costing, risk analysis and technical capability.
Create detailed opportunity-specific sourcing strategies with supplier evaluation and risk analysis and present supplier recommendations to CPSD stakeholders.
Lead supply chain efforts for proposal teams. Provide purchasing and supply chain guidance to proposal teams.
Identify and track cost savings/overruns and facilitate resolution between engineering and vendors/suppliers.
Resolve commercial and technical supplier issues and actions serving as liaison between supplier and MEPPI.
Negotiate non-conforming material cost recovery. Coordinate and manage vendor/supplier chargebacks.
Monitor products, parts and service cost performance and implement procurement strategies designed to reduce current and future costs. Manage supplier performance for price, delivery, quality and contract compliance.
Plan, schedule and issue purchase orders for products, parts and services according to forecasts, customer requirements and internal requisitions. Obtain approvals per MEPPI's Limits of Authority policy.
Further the goals and positive, professional image of the Division through effective dealings with customers and other internal departments and divisions.
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field and a minimum 8 years of experience with purchasing and managing supplier contracts/agreements, or equivalent education or experience.
Advanced skills in supply chain systems and techniques including seasoned negotiating skills.
Advanced knowledge of UPS or other power quality equipment products and services.
Advanced interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills required to communicate with employees and outside contacts.
Advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products and MRP/ERP Systems.
