Participate in troubleshooting and resolution of testing and equipment issues.
Create and document operational procedures for the test labs as required. Oversee testing on the lab floor to ensure all safety procedures are followed.
Conduct lab training to CPSD staff as needed.
Identify and recommend rental equipment to meet testing requirements when needed. Oversee installation and removal of rental equipment. Operate rental equipment for testing and provide equipment training as needed.
Identify, recommend and oversee implementation of lab improvements.
Work with vendors to resolve any technical design issues related to testing equipment.
Provide CPSD product support at customer sites and trade shows as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associates Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Technology with 3-5 years of experience with product testing or development, or equivalent education and experience.
Intermediate knowledge of power electronic devices such as uninterruptible power supply (UPS), VFD, solar inverter, grid tie inverter.
Advanced knowledge of testing instrumentation and specialized testing software.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required to communicate with customers, employees, and vendors.
Ability to work in a team environment and on several projects simultaneously.
Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products, CAD and engineering analysis software
