Communicate variances regarding incoming product deliveries and other variables which may impact the production schedule.
Collaborate with Logistics to arrange for product transportation. Arrange shipments with transportation companies and obtain quotations as needed.
Perform inventory audits, cycle counts, and shelf-life reviews to monitor product inventory levels and to ensure proper billing of third-party services.
Train and monitor third-party workers on MEPPI quality standards, kitting, and compliance procedures.
Maintain Hazmat certifications for shipment of hazardous materials in compliance with customer requirements. Maintain knowledge of regulatory changes and safety protocols regarding lithium battery handling.
Enter and maintain shipping and receiving data into the business system. Generate and distribute relevant reporting.
Act as the primary liaison for inventory management and shipping between the Division and the third-party vendor.
Comply with C-TPAT and JSOX policy directives.
Further the goals and positive, professional image of the Company by conducting business with other MEPPI divisions, visitors, and callers in a timely and cooperative manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree in logistics, accounting or related discipline with 3-5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or equivalent education and experience.
Advanced knowledge of lithium battery shipping regulations as gained through relevant certifications or accreditations.
Advanced interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills required to communicate with employees, customers and vendors.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently.
Intermediate computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products and ERP systems.
