Position summary

Communicate variances regarding incoming product deliveries and other variables which may impact the production schedule.

  • Collaborate with Logistics to arrange for product transportation. Arrange shipments with transportation companies and obtain quotations as needed.
  • Perform inventory audits, cycle counts, and shelf-life reviews to monitor product inventory levels and to ensure proper billing of third-party services.
  • Train and monitor third-party workers on MEPPI quality standards, kitting, and compliance procedures.
  • Maintain Hazmat certifications for shipment of hazardous materials in compliance with customer requirements. Maintain knowledge of regulatory changes and safety protocols regarding lithium battery handling.
  • Enter and maintain shipping and receiving data into the business system. Generate and distribute relevant reporting.
  • Act as the primary liaison for inventory management and shipping between the Division and the third-party vendor.
  • Comply with C-TPAT and JSOX policy directives.
  • Further the goals and positive, professional image of the Company by conducting business with other MEPPI divisions, visitors, and callers in a timely and cooperative manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree in logistics, accounting or related discipline with 3-5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of lithium battery shipping regulations as gained through relevant certifications or accreditations.
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills required to communicate with employees, customers and vendors.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Intermediate computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products and ERP systems.
