    Job Description:

    The Alternative Investments and Specialty Asset Management group at Bank of America offers distinctive capabilities focused on sourcing and delivering differentiated complex investment strategies to clients: Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Farm and Ranch, Timberland, Oil and Gas, Real Estate, and Private Business.

    Alternative Investments and Specialty Asset Management Business Oversight Team is responsible for fostering a best in class operating and risk management culture across the AI and SAM organization. The team collaborates with all the groups across the AI and SAM organization to understand the different products and processes in order to ensure consistent operations, controls and governance.

    The team is looking for a highly motivated individual to drive execution of key initiatives and support business oversight risk routines across the AI and SAM organization. This position will report directly to the Head of Business Oversight for the Alternative Investments and Specialty Asset Management business.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supporting key initiatives designed to enhance controls and governance and oversee their implementation

    • Developing innovative solutions and oversight for strategic business processes

    • Manage governance committees, counsels, forums, and working groups

    • Participating in presentations to governance committees and key stakeholders on status of initiatives, issues, and new items

    • Working collaboratively with business units and other control groups on key organizational projects

    • Facilitating the development and implementation of resolutions of self, audit and compliance identified issues

    • Identify best practices and create policies and procedures to maximize team efficiencies

    • Execute quality assurance tests and reviews of Specialty Asset Management processes

    Required Qualifications:

    • 5+ years' directly related experience

    • Strong organizational skills; ability to work independently and manage to aggressive deadlines

    • Ability to multi-task, managing various tasks and deliverables with simultaneous deadlines

    • Proven ability to build effective relationships

    • Flexibility and quick adaptation to changing priorities, methodologies, processes and systems

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Intermediate Excel (Vlookup, Pivot tables, charts, etc.), PowerPoint

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Background in corporate governance, alternative investments, or specialty asset management is a plus but not required
