    Role/Responsibilities
    In this role, you will join our Structured Finance team to learn all aspects of the Moody's Analytics SF business. You will have the opportunity to participate in projects with our risk, regulatory solutions, advisory, API, financial modeling, and product teams. You will gain exposure to experienced professionals in our SF team through extensive training and mentorship programs. This role requires the engineer to work within our Customer Success team supporting our global client base. To excel in this role, you would need to have a sound understanding of structured finance/fixed income, quantitative models and a strong aptitude for technology.

    • Learn how to model and troubleshoot waterfalls for a variety of structured finance asset classes, including RMBS, CMBS, ABS and CLOs
    • Perform credit risk analysis as part of our advisory service
    • Interact directly with global clients using our API and other integrated solutions
    • Work with our product teams to design product functionality, specifying bug fixes and software enhancements requests
    • Contribute and lead long term projects and initiatives that benefit the quality of client-facing products
    • Work with our Content Production team to understand our monthly production cycle and sophisticated data processes. Have an opportunity to streamline processes and improve quality and efficiency through automation.

    Qualifications

    • Graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or closely related technical field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
    • Experience in SQL, C++, C#, Python, or other programming languages highly preferred
    • Background in Fixed Income, Structured Finance is preferred
    • Pursuit of CFA charter is preferred
    • Excellent team player and able to work with global cross functional teams
    • Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines
    • Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to learn quickly and work independently
    • Possess a positive attitude in general
