    The Role / Summary:

    As part of Moody's Ratings), our Process Improvement and Data Management team leads the design and adoption of new processes and data workflows that enable digital transformation and scalability across the organization globally.

    We are hiring an Assistant Vice President - Process Management to design, develop and implement business process improvement initiatives across the organization. They will work closely with cross-functional teams that adopt Agile operating methods to identify areas for improvement and digitization, develop process maps, and recommend solutions that drive efficiency and effectiveness. They will be a change agent for multi-year initiatives to transform Ratings and Research's (R&R) work processes to support digitization and adoption of generative AI technologies. These include the full range of workflow, rating and research, ESG and other activities. These initiatives are directly tied to firm-wide objectives and will involve regular exposure to senior and executive leaders around the business and technology enhancements.

    As an AVP-Process Management, you will receive high-quality mentorship and guidance from senior experts on the team.

    Responsibilities:

    Evaluate and identify improvements to existing processes within R&R

    • Define and map existing processes across the organization globally and measure baseline performance

    • Apply Design Thinking and Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques to identify critical-to-quality requirements, analyse root causes for inefficiencies and waste, and recommend solutions to improve or redesign organizational process performance

    • Assess risks associated with current and proposed processes against business objectives and ensure solutions align with the risk appetite and risk management framework, design appropriate controls

    • Design, sequence and prioritize process improvements in partnership with senior management that streamline workflows, reduce cycle times, and improve quality and customer satisfaction. This includes estimating expected benefits, and establishing KPIs and targets.

    • Contribute to the execution of these improvements across multi-year periods. Monitor and report on the progress of process improvement initiatives, and adjust plans as needed to ensure successful implementation.

    • Facilitate and participate in process improvement discussions with Technology teams, Credit Strategy & Standards groups, Operational groups, control functions, accounting specialists and analysts whilst representing R&R process transformation objectives

    • Ensure continuous improvement and methodical process oversight following implementation of process changes

    • Set up and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures, training programs, risks and controls self-assessments

    • Work in Agile pods to define business process requirements for technology solutions, identifying with Product Owners any opportunities to enhance and re-develop technology solutions

    Key role in related change-management plans as appropriate for process and technology enhancements

    • Create and contribute to training, communication plans and champion roll-out plans for key process and technology enhancements in partnership with senior leaders, change champions, Professional Development & Training, and the People teams to help colleagues understand and adopt new processes and procedures

    • Partner with management to further integrate Design Thinking, Lean Six Sigma and Agile management approaches and behaviours that develops and embeds a culture of continuous process improvement

    • Collaborate closely with other process teams to ensure consistency of approach and share standard processes

    QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

    • 3+ years' of proven experience in roles focused on driving medium to large-scale process improvement, transformation, and organizational change initiatives, preferably within digital or technology transformation initiatives

    • Minimum Green Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma

    • Proficient in process tools like Lucidchart and/or Visio

    • Proficient in Agile methodologies

    • Experience synthesizing customer and/or user views into critical requirements that were successfully embedded in process flows or digital applications

    • Highly proficient communication skills to simplify complex themes and present recommendations to leadership

    • Ability to influence, navigate ambiguity and drive consensus to achieve objectives

    For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$133,100]] - [[$192,950]], depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
