    Job Description for [Data Solutions] [Data Specialist]
    We manage, enrich and validate ownership links in our database, OBO (Ownership Back Office), mainly provided by ownership data feeds from Information Providers but also from manual encoding. To do this, we operate controls, client requests, matching processes.
    On a weekly basis, we deliver an updated information on Shareholders, Subsidiaries, Beneficial Owners, Global Ultimate Owners, Soletrader, Funds, Branches, Foreign Companies, Vessels and Directors.
    The feeds team is in charge of developing and validating the ownership feeds of the Information Providers (IPs) in order to incorporate the information into the Ownership Database (OBO).

    Responsibilities

    This role is responsible for maintaining, documenting, and improving databases that are made available online to subscribers, and for responding to and assisting clients with their data-related requests.

    • Validate the IP feeds to ingest in the Ownership Database
    • Verification of the ingestion of the feeds during the night
    • Analysis of the variations of links per source in OBO on a daily basis (Ctrl_LinkCount)
    • Creation of a material data change based on the variations of links per source in OBO between the two latests Validated Trees of OBO
    • Validation of the statistics sent by the Orbis Ownership Team (checking the variations of links per source in Orbis on a weekly basis)
    • Verify and validate the modifications done by indexer on our exports
    • Keep the notes, tables and documentations up to date
    • Sending requests to the developers through JIRA

    Required Background / skills

    • Business fluent in English. Any additional languages are an advantage.
    • Undergraduate or advanced degree with course work in economics, finance, statistics, or related fields preferred.
    • 1-3 years of work experience in this sector or other related fields.
    • Knowledge of JIRA / SQL / PYTHON is a bonus
