    Position summary

    ct our nation. The NSA's Encryption Production & Solutions team is looking for a collaborative and highly motivated professional to fill the Special Operations Support Specialist role. The desired candidate should thrive in in a mission-oriented, direct support organization and will coordinate with organizations across the NSA, DoD, Interagency, and Special Operations community. The selectee with work to effectively align and synchronize customer use-case and technical solution requirements against national and NSA policy, Cybersecurity best-practices, and the maturing technical landscape for National Security Systems (NSS) and solutions.

    Qualifications:

    The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position.

    Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 4 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience.

    A degree in any field is acceptable.

    Relevant experience must be in at least one of the following: mission threat analysis, covert deployment, counterintelligence analysis, public safety administration, homeland security, data analytics, cybersecurity administration, or CI investigations.

    Competencies:

    The selectee must be a quick study, self-directed, and have a tolerance for a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Demonstrated flexibility, multi-tasking, and time-management fundamentals are critical to this position. The selectee should have good working knowledge of the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community, and have a holistic understanding of Cybersecurity. Additionally, the selectee should have strong written and oral communication skills, highly-developed interpersonal and organizational skills, and an ability to effectively interact with both technical personnel and senior leadership. Professionalism, confidence with humility, and candor are all required.

    Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule:

    Pay: Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position.

    Salary Range: $64,957 - $84,441
    Salary range varies by work level and relevant experience to the position.

    On the job training, internal NSA courses, and external training will be made available based on the need and experience of the selectee.

    Work Schedule: This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, with basic 8hr/day work requirement between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (flexible).
