By bringing together zero trust security with network optimization, Netskope Borderless WAN allows customers to confidently provide secure, high-performance access to every remote user, device, site, and cloud. It also simplifies the on-boarding of traffic to the Netskope Security Cloud and NewEdge network, so customers can on-board more quickly and efficiently.
What's in it for you
We are looking for a Software Engineer with a DevOps and SRE focus, who can work in a fast paced environment building and supporting our next-gen WAN edge and cloud networking technology. You will join a team of full stack and data plane engineers, and help to drive DevOps and SRE initiatives that ensure a scalable, performant solution for our customers. The candidate will also have an opportunity to contribute in multi-cloud deployment automation of Borderless WAN solution in Public Cloud.
What you will be doing
Partnering with engineering and product management teams to architect and build a highly-available, performant, and secure infrastructure and management solution.
Developing innovative ways to measure, monitor and report application and infrastructure health.
Improving the performance of micro-services and solving scaling/performance issues
Deploying updates and fixes, and providing Level 2 technical support
Building tools to reduce the occurrence of errors and improve customer experience
Performing root cause analysis of production errors and resolving technical issues
Designing procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
Developing deep knowledge of our cloud application stack
Capacity management and planning
Required skills and experience
8+ years of experience in the DevOps / SRE domain managing highly scalable cloud-native infrastructure
Excellent Unix/Linux troubleshooting skills
3+ years of experience managing highly-scalable, microservices based infrastructure
Understanding of Networking concepts - TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, IPSec, GRE, VPN, Load balancing
Experience with Go Language (Preferred) or Python
Experience with developing Terraform Providers & Modules.
Hands-on experience with GCP, AWS, Azure cloud and automation in a highly-available, scalable and distributed system production environment will be a great plus.
Experience with Docker, VM, and Kubernetes is a must
Experience with web programming and HTTP based APIs (REST or GraphQL)
Experience with Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, Kubernetes, SQL and NoSQL datastores, CI/CD
Experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and software design will be a bonus
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate in an open, transparent and consistent manner with team and co-workers.

Experience working with an "Automation Only" strategy
The ability to work within a geo-distributed, cross-functional team
The demonstrated ability to own and deliver projects independently
Education
BSCS or equivalent required, MSCS or equivalent strongly preferred
